Today I was invited to another fashion show to Tallinn, by the lovely and magnificently talented Tiina Talumees. Uh, although Tallinn is close, this time it is sadly too far…

Luckily I met Tiina at her atelier last week and got a peek of her new collection, so full of color, so vibrant with life. It truly is a Rhapsody in Bloom.

Here’s a little special something that I’ve found and loved, from Tiina’s earlier collections… In fact, I wore Tiina’s silver and lace dress at the Kristina Viirpalu show last week and it was simply perfect for the the roaring 20’s theme.

It’s a small world, after all…♥.

Yesteday, I had a wonderful day out discovering the beautiful Christmasy Tallinn with a very dear friend.

Because of my silly fractured foot, I haven’t stepped out of the house for what seems like eternity. So now even wild horses couldn’t have held me back from hopping around the charming old town of Tallinn with my crutches  (in elegant heels nonetheless).

Our adventure started traditionally, with me getting us lost – but very fortunately so – as we found ourselves in front of this beautiful window display.

Inside we discovered a lovely little ateljé of Tiina Talumees…

I particularly loved this elegant silvery dress, beautifully crafted from white silk petals, delicate chiffon, long strands of lace, hemline rimmed with white and silver tulle – all handmade.

They had everyhting – long 1920’s inspired necklaces in Swarowski crystals and faceted glass beads, assorted shoes AND even assorted accessorices for the shoes.

It was all too lovely.

As was this mermaid inspired skirt below, light as a breath and beautifully flowing around the body. You must imagine it without any of the black, with a little simple strapless beige tank top with a tiny lace trim… To the backdrop of the Mediterranean, or alternatively Mamie’s garden and pool… That’s how I’ll be wearing it.

Hanski my dear, she bought nothing yet paid for everything (if I would have stopped to withdraw some cash at the terminal we would have missed our boat…). And whilst all my credit cards have been cut into pieces in a rare moment of clarity, Hanski still has hers.

Hih… Due to our little arrangement Hanski thought that maybe the ladies of the boutique thought I was her mistress… Hmph. In that case, they might have felt sorry for her, for having such an expensive one… (Yes Mom, I’ve paid her back!).

Well, at least I had enough cash on me to offer my sweet friend a little dinner of scallops & champagne… Yummmmmm.

The flower market at the gate of the old town is incredible. I don’t understand how they do in in Tallinn… It’s like having all the roses of Amsterdam, right in the middle of a Christmas world.

Hanski made her one and only purchase, a bouquet of flowers for her husband who had just completed a string of shows in a theatre play.

What a lovely little outing we had.

AND thanks to my Hanski, we didn’t even miss the boat home.
