MmmmmMmmh…

In case anybody out there is hard at work wondering how to spoil me rotten on International Women’s Day, I’d be happy to help out… Any of these shoes would do…

Be it heels, ballerinas, ankle boots, strappy sandals. Satin, velvet, lace, leather. Ribbons, crystals, bows, buttons. Feathers!

Pictures from site All the colors of the world.

Thank you dear Annica for introducing us to one another…♥. It was love at first sight.

Once again my heart skipped a beat out of pride.

I was taking my my son to school yesterday when suddenly he took my hand and pulled me to the middle of the street. “We have to be careful” he explained with that innocent earnestness of a child, “that ice or snow won’t fall on you from the rooftops”.

On me.

♥♥♥.

Some days deserve a little bit of lace on them, light as a touch of butterfly.

Here goes ladies (gentlemen?). Let yourselves be swept away for a little moment.

The dress below – not to mention the divine stockings! –  are by the lovely Estonian designer Kristina Viirpalu. She actually hosts a fashion show and event in Tallinn next month, and LadyBohemia has been invited! I’m  excited already as I admire Kristina Design  so much. What a treat her show will be for me….

I’ll keep you posted on that one, my dear readers.

Huh! The kids & I have been invited – or maybe we kinda invited ourselves…- to France for 2-3 months during the summer!

On a separate note, I recently found out that there’s a birthday gift in the form of a weekend in Paris planned for May…

And traditionally, we’ve spent Easter in France as well…

Hmmm. The world is seriously trying to tell me something here.

Is this a call I want to hear…?

Well, I confess that I do have the papers with which to apply for French nationality waiting for some personal identity issues to be worked out, but more on that later…

As far as dilemmas go, I’m quite enjoying this one.

completed what is now officially the loveliest weekend of this winter.

Feeling like such a supermama after a brisk bright beautiful day spent in the slopes, doing wintersporty things with the kids.

And all three, my sons & god-daughter, told me the same, most beautiful word today.

Even though I’m high on fresh air and love, I’ll still say…

Dear Universe. Come what may. I’m up for it.

Do sweet nothings fill your bathroom?

Mine too. Overflowingly so.

Perfume bottles, beautiful bath salts, trays filled with hairclips & rosies, pieces of jewellery picked from here and there… The last thing I dragged into my bathroom is a huge Mexican pewter candle stand… Had to empty a lot of more appropriate stuff (below) to make it fit in.

But practical or not, I am determined to bathe in candlelight one of these days.

My tv’s on a strike. Seemingly permanently

The hi-fi (…you’d have to see it to get the joke… but maybe the word c-cassette will do…) won’t make as much as a beep.

Toaster caught fire.

And the fridge has an identity crisis. It thinks it’s a helicopter.

Today I don’t care.

For today my friend, Lady Sun, has come to smile at us. Bright & happy.

LadyBohemia gone skating…♥

One of my most beloved pieces is this coffer, from 19th century Provence.

When I first saw this handmade, hand painted beauty in the dusty corner of an antique shop, I knew she belonged with me. And home she came immediately, even though I had to negotiate, twist & turn and practically beg to come up with the money for it.

And again, we ate oatmeal for a month…

But every time I look at it, I feel the sun of Provence.
