to Férrer, that is. I was curious to take the first peek…

the fabric of this outfit was so soft and eversoslightly & elegantly sparkly, just yummy

This night blue butterfly dress was also nice, but I remained  true to my first crush. The sparkly little French number.

I’d style it with this sleeveless, ivory white knit that fits like a glove. A find from Paris some 10 years ago.

It’s soooo nice to take photos like this – for once I don’t have to try to take pictures of myself! My model is much less self-critical as well… And she’s much more photogenic anyways.

Ok spring, bring it on! I’m all set…♥.

~* Blond Power *~

I got a serious dose of blond power, as three striking ladies came to sit at the same table as I in Lungi, a cool and mellow little restaurant with the friendliest service and comfy sofas scattered here and there.

I wanted a moment to myself to really figure out how I feel about a proposition I’d just received for LadyBohemia. But as these ladies joined my table, I was most happy to be distracted.

The lovely and beautiful Nina and Emilia.

Nina told me her story. I can tell you, I was inspired. She had worked in advertising in London for 15 years, but after becoming a mother she wanted to make a fresh start into something new. Something her very own. The idea of Beibamboo was born almost at the same time as her own little daughter. If you have little children, I think it’s worth checking out. And I salute Nina for the brave step she’s taken. I love to collect inspirational tales of following one’s heart, and Nina’s definitely was such.

And if that wasn’t enough, our table was joined by Tarja, my fitness guru whose classes I’ve faithfully followed some 15 years. Needless to say, she is as blonde and as striking as the other two ladies.

It was so funny to sit back and watch all the men in the place touring the sofa where these three beauties sat, like a group of cats around some very tempting and very hot porridge.

And the ladies coolly ignoring all the attention, just minding their own business.

Hihi… My own little sociological experiment.

Haha!

I’m still standing but the mess in my bedroom is no more.

Feeling like so…

Photo from the net, by somebody very talented

PS. Everything nice, clean and fresh that happens in this household, I owe to my darling friend. Who came over (with chocolate!), tidied, cleaned and folded stuff that I’ve been too exhausted to do for almost a year.

After she was done with everything else, she still – get this! – ironed my bed sheets.

Nobody has been this sweet to me…

And words do not describe how sweet it is to sleep in those sheets.

My friend and I have gone through thick and thin – and every possible and impossible obstacle in addition – together. And thanks to her, even I’m starting to feel that we’ll get through this one too.

If and when you read this, I just wanna say.

I wouldn’t have gotten this far without you.

Thank you.

Love you.

I really like the lyrics on this one.

You can just feel that the songwriter is a woman.

And however uncool it may be, tonight, her words are getting underneath my skin.

So. It’s rainy and slushy outside today… Don’t let it get to you, as you’re about to get a dose of warmth and coziness, almost as magnificent as a fireplace readily lit up when you come home drained from work… Or a bath in candlelight.

In the form of knitwear, I mean. Chunky, romantic, crochet… You CAN look lovely whilst keeping yourself warm all the way to your toes. Here are some photos I’ve collected for my rainy day inspiration.

My favorite look, by Unjung Jun.

Another big-time favorite look... I've got a dress very much like this by Kristiina Viirpalu but those little black gloves would be an icing on the cake.... Ok, also the Vuitton suitcase adds a certain something. Thanks Unjung Jun for the idea-I'll definitely go for the gloves at least.

This makes me think of my Hanski, who is responsible for everything practical existing in our household. She has personally knitted all woollen socks & gloves my kids & I possess, and some quilts in addition. So. Even though she currently lives in Holland, she still keeps us all warm. I'm so lucky to have her.

Feeling a little warmer already?

Rainy day kisses to all my lovely readers,

from LadyBohemia

*~ Heart Dance ~*

You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart.

Today I have worked very hard on something that is both very important and extremely scary to me. A chance I owe myself to take. Although I still don’t know where I’ll find the courage to it.

I wanted to share this lovely wild picture by Unjung Jun with you – today it has helped me relate with a phrase so real:

No guts, no glory.

I’m not the most organized of people. So I found this collage from the net, for inspiration… This is how I dream my to-do list to look like (especially on the eve of a winter vacation):

But, being me, it’s slightly more scattered, messy, over-the-top overlapping hurdle… Like so.

Clearly it’s time for an Engel moment. A peaceful quality moment with me, myself and I, and a hot cup of Engel’s lovely house tea.. Followed by a blizzardy walk for long, long sweaty session of hot yoga.

My secret weapons that always work for clearing an unruly mind.

All is well, just remember that, especially when it’s not.

Life has a way of taking care of itself.

So comforting. Even true, I think.
