… here I come!

Afternoon tea at a historic hotel frequented by Oscar Wilde, theatre, opera or musical, the Portobello market…

I absolutely will experience all that, with every sense of my body.

In addition to the beauty extravaganza that is the Fashion Week.

London, take me. I’m ready.

February is hugely busy month for a blogger… There are photoshoots, fashion shows, discussions with magazines, fittings with designers, advertising and media agencies… A launch of something mindblowingly beautiful, yet very hush-hush, in the cards… And of course, the main event of the season; the London Fashion Week. But don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining.

I’m loving every second of it.

IMG_3730Yesterday, it was brainstorming at Godmother advertising with Godmother extraordinaire, Annika Di-Chiara, and the lady with magic on her fingertips; designer and artist Oona Elena Kassila.

IMG_3780We got even Lele thingking…

IMG_3784_1The creative process absolutely requires cupcakes.

IMG_3778With a happy full tummy, the ideas just swing & fly…

IMG_3818

Barcelona Ateljé! Workshops! Goddess Dresses! The magic of Oona and Mo.

IMG_3706The question of the day was: “What is your dream?

Once that’s crystal clear, the rest will come. Sometimes through nights of no sleep, tears, self-doubt, even moments of despair.

But it will come.

And these boots… They’re made for walking.

Ready. Steady. And then Darling; Go.

Fly High ♥.

IMG_0955This is my very first Kristina Viirpalu dress, an absolute favorite. Perfect for any occasion; work, cafés, movies, heart-to-heart teabreak with a  friend… Hand woven of thick high-quality cotton, It’s so soft and comfortable that I even wear it on airplanes. As all of Kristina’s dresses, this too is a unique piece.

IMG_0964x*

IMG_0929I love this bow… Detachable, it can be worn with other dresses – and turn them into statement pieces as well.

IMG_0943The wonderfully talented Pipsa Lagus organized this photoshoot next to Kaivohuone on one particularly windy and drizzly day… We had a car running right next to us with the heating on at full force… Salvation.

The meter maids happened to be making their rounds around the parking lot… In fact, I think they made several slow rounds, wondering how to react to what we were doing… And even a police car happened to drop by at the empty parking and made a little tour around us… But they all just gave us puzzled looks and let us go on about our business. Pipsa has that effect on people… Me, I just tend to get in trouble…

IMG_0995xChecking the results of the day…. At the point when I started turning blue in the face, we shifted to photographing the Black Rose Wool Coat on top of this dress – not only beautiful but a highly convenient solution.

Happy happy :). When I see this photo I still feel it in my bones how wonderfully warm it was, that moment.

The magically talented Oona Kassila will design a dress for me… A custom order piece, to make me feel like a faery princess at the London Fashion Week next month. Just look at the loveliness she came up with!

408638_10151329757269909_558240781_n

So off we went, hunting for the right fabrics, laces, pearls and silver chains… Such perfect ladytime ♥.

IMG_3035

Oona herself is a Bona Fide Faery Princess. Such a beautiful person, inside and out. Somehow, her loveliness is present in all her creations. When wearing her handmade treasures, I feel her softness, gentleness and sweetness all around.

IMG_3076

For the gloves, we’ll use this French velvet in old rosa… Purrrrrrfect.

IMG_3063

Laces, laces and some more laces… UhHuh how difficult it was to rule some of these beauties out…

IMG_3062

Now Oona has flown back to her ateljé in Barcelona… And I’m impatiently waiting for her to come back – she’ll fly over for a fitting of my Bohemian Princess Rose Cradle dress. And I will show you the pictures…

You can find Oona’s dresses and Mo Puccino’s Moonalia jewellery at Moonalia’s etsy shop.

They are handmade in heaven.

IMG_1059A perfect basic – black fine wool jacket – with that LadyBohemia twist. From my favorite Boutique Deb.

Warm despite appearances (for the French winter / Finnish autumn spring that is). Asymmetrical rose &  velvet ribbon details. Beautifully tailored, warm soft lightness on the body.

If there are MUSTs in every woman’s wardrobe, a wool coat that warms you up, fits like a glove AND  makes you feel beautiful sure is one.

as I mentioned earlier, I had the opportunity to take a peek into the wardrobe of Sari Ihatsu, Managing Director of Ajatar. Wow. I got to choose the most delicious finds of hers, over the years… So here it its, a real treat for you, my dear readers.

This long beige dream is made of lamb from Tuscany and decorated, by hand, with coral beads. A slightly bohemian hippy feeling… Love it.

Another favorite of mine was this little fur, also of lamb from Tuscany, adorned with beautifully artistic hand-painted decorations.

Adjusting the lighting..I could only drool over this one. It’s Italian, with lasercut lace-like details. Too gorgeous.

Into some serious business. A long white mink, with crystal-encrusted buttons and snake skin details (where it looks like stripes – it’s snake!). It doesn’t get more luxurious than this.

Sari, being a rather free spirit and a cool personality, wears her long white mink when shopping for groceries or running  errands… She doesn’t like to be stuck in a box of how one is “supposed” to dress but wear her furs where and when she likes.

Oftentimes Sari wears her furs such as this sable one with a belt – you have to be quite petitte to pull this look off, but she is.

I loved the beautifully decorated silk inside this coat… Even if nobody else sees it, you know it’s there. And it makes a difference…

Below is Sari’s choice from this season’s new collection. The color is called Blue Irish, which in my opinion becomes it well..

Ajatar celebrated her 60 years in business all through October – here Sari is getting ready for another champagne reception.

And this jacket I simply must mention – the best seller of this year’s collection. I attended the first evening fashion show celebration of Ajatar, and it was this coat that was sold out straight away – ladies just carried them away whilst sipping their champagne.

It was also beautifully styled and featured in Gloria magazine:

Worry not ladies, if your heart swoons over this one… They’ve ordered more at Ajatar 🙂 .

At the end of hard day’s work Sari took us for a lovely lunch at Torni. Mmmmmm, great food, even greater company. It was lovely to get to know each other a little bit deeper. There were in fact so many things we have in common. And last but not the least, I got the best address of the South of France, for our next visit… A place where Sari and her husband spend every new year.

And I’m sorry, I’m sworn into secrecy. Can’t tell you what it is..

PS. The last photo shows what Sari always carries with her in her handbag. A little piece of the South of France, in the shape of a heart.

Haha, I’ve been blogged! Thank you for the compliment, Northern Charm ♥

And bytheway, look at my gorgeous new objective!

I bought it especially when during one single week, I was (well, LadyBohemia was) invited to feature this fashion show by Kristina Viirpalu, the  personal wardrobe of Sari Ihatsu from Ajatar, and the exhibition opening of Anna Gav.

Such an honor all this wonderful hulabaloo has been for my little blog, that I decided to rise to the occasion, even technologywise.

We don’t know each other very well yet, my new objective and I, but he already looks very pro,

don’t you think.

Yet uncompromisingly feminine as ever.

Voilà, Kristina Viirpalu’s stunning new collection that we got to celebrate as  guests of Press & Pr d’ORO and Tallink Silja this weekend.

The Queen of the night.

Our distinguished group of fashionistas included Mikael and Jari…

Note the flower details… Our guys were gentlemen, to the last drop.

The Wonderful Unique Pipsa Lagus, whom I finally got to really meet. Pipsa who wrote to me at two o’clock the following night that she missed me already. And of course I was awake, missing her too :).
PS. My dress is by Kristina

The show was a fusion of modern dance, music and the gorgeous clothes. Bold, even raw at times. In a good way.

No pauses between wow factors.

The show had Kristina’s trademark written all over it..

Cool, rock, sexy vibe.

with that unique touch of romance that I so adore in Kristina’s creations. Every piece, handmade.

A long knitted dress such as the one above takes a month at the átelje.

One magic creation came home with me… They tend to gravitate towards a loving home…I’ll try to get a photo of the black beauty soon.

And this long dream was brought to Ella Kanninen, directly from the show, by her stylist Pauliina:

Photo: Iltalehti

Worn by Ella at MTV 3’s Dances with stars just the following day :).

Sissi ❤

We were pampered by all this and more by Sirkka Siiskonen from Press & pr d’ORO… I’ll let you in on a few more of our adventures a little later… But a lady’s gotta sleep too…Even yesterday I opted the jazz night club where Kristina had invited us to a gooooood long night’s sleep ♥. Ah.

…going down my spine…

I have great news my friends… I’ll start blogging for another publication, Helsinki in Style, – or in fact I’ve been preparing this co-operation for a while already, but didn’t want to tell anybody about it before everything was in full swing, there was material ready and the blog was looking her best…

But now, here it is, ready to be introduced to the world: http://blogit.helsinkiinstyle.fi/

..new doors opening..

Such a little step this is in the world of style, but a real leap of faith for my LadyBohemia…

Please do let me know what you think of my new baby – all feedback is valuable and most appreciated…♥

Toppi Ranskasta, huivi Vuitton, käsinkirjottu helmilaukku ranskalaista vintagea, hanskat Bertha Puiston vintagekokoelmasta

Viittasin pari päivää sitten blogissani Breakfast at Tiffany’s -leffan kohtaukseen jossa kysytään

When were you last utterly and perfectly happy?”
