Have I mentioned that my friend Pipsa is a Sweetheart? She is.

IMG_3683She dropped by at our place for a glass of champagne before we headed for the movie premiere on Wednesday… And before she even made her way inside she had pushed a little box into my hand. Explaining that it was nothing… Just a little something old…

It turned out that her nothing were these divine silver and marcasite antique earrings.

Huh, I was so touched that all words escaped me. So thoughtful, so poignant, so unexpected was her gesture… How she already knows how much I love all things adorned with charm and history.

From now on, every time that I wear these beauties I shall be escorted and surrounded by the warmth and kindness of a true friend.

And that feeling is as priceless as these earrings are beautiful.

64972_583252778367890_1928256573_nAs some of you may have noticed, I have a soft spot for vintage jewellery. Well, okay, there are quite a few soft spots in my repertoire… But these lovelies really swept me off my feet.

Only three pairs of these Fine van Brooklin treasures were made and each pair found a new home in record time, even to my artist friend Lea’s standards. These earrings feature STUNNING vintage 830 silver filigree adorned with marcasite (originally from a 1930’s bracelet) with just a pair of beautiful freshwater pearls added, alongside some very nice, a little out of the ordinary sterling silver hooks.

No hassle, just plain gorgeous treasures from the past. Just the way I love them.

Lea (creatriss of the Fine van Brooklin jewellery) has such uncanny sense for naming her treasures, don’t you think!

Getting a little surprise gift in the form of Say You Love Me earrings would sure work wonders in adding some serious Va-Va-Voooooom to  woman’s day… A little tip to you gentlemen out there – now that would be a way to kick off a Monday morning with your lady love ♥.

kaisuetuosa111I am so excited, and so incredibly grateful.

Not only do I have I been invited to the London Fashion Week this February, but my friend and favorite designer Oona Elena Kassila has designed The Most Beautiful Dress in the World for me to wear during that hulabaloo.

This was the original sketch she showed me… As you might imagine, I fell in love with it the moment I first lay eyes on it.

If ever – no, WHEN – I get a little desk, a corner or a room to be called my LadyBohemia Ateljé, I shall frame this picture on my wall ♥. Such artistry, such beauty, such warmth of friendship it shines on me.

Oona and I started our little fashion week project with a quest for the most beautiful silks, laces and rosies here in Helsinki, to be continued by Oona in the jewellery, fabrics and beads markets of Barcelona… She is working from her Ateljé in Spain, so she sends me photos and ideas of the work in progress at night time.

This is what I got yesterday.

A beautiful silver chain with charmingly faceted silver beads that shimmer with light… A delicate moonstone… I’ll be walking on air when carrying this dress. No, I’ll be dancing on roses.

And this is where we’re at, two weeks before the event.

It’s so… poetically beautiful that I’m lost for words.

And next weekend my beautiful friend will fly over for a fitting… To make everything just perfect.

Oh, I feel just like a princess.

Handmade of grey / vintage rose crystals and silver pieces, these Baroque Nouveau beauties can be found at the Fine van Brooklin webshop. After I paid a little visit to Lea’s ateljé, there’s still one pair left…

I checked out the Odd Molly summer collection and beautiful & bohemian as ever it is… My mind escaped to summertime and refuses to come back.

So, as soon as sun comes to warm up Winterlandia, this is what I’ll be wearing:

I’ll combine these summer dreams with my own pieces; flipflops, hair rosies, beaded necklaces, sunglasses. And the Moonalia purse I love:

This is in fact my holiday wardrobe of last summer. We had to leave for France for some three monts, three people, one suitcase. So for myself I had two summer dresses, flipflops, bikinis, and this shoebox full of rosy dreams…

Oona herself is a Bona Fide Faery Princess. Such a beautiful person, inside and out. Somehow, her loveliness is present in all her creations. When wearing her handmade treasures, I feel her softness, gentleness and sweetness all around.

Whenever I have to challenge myself and face a really tough situation, I arm myself with faerydust. By wearing jewellery given by somebody special, a piece of clothing made for my by a friend, or a little gift given with love.

For my radio interview I really needed some force beyond my own as I the topics I was asked to address were as painful as they were intimate to me.

I carefully chose my most beautiful pieces, handmade wristwarmers by Oona Elena Kassila. A picture of these wristwarmers was the very first blog post I ever made so the symbolism was there…

We’ve come a long way together ♥.

Oona is one beautiful inspiration in my life as well as a true bohemian lady herself.

Her magic is so kind yet so powerful. I feel her energy in all the pieces she has designed for me, such as this unique lace tiara necklace, handcrafted of antique laces, freshwater pearls and a rose quartz.

Finally, my rings. By Oona’s man Mo Puccino.

The stone is a rare opal, delicately decorated by a handcrafted silver frame, reflecting all the shades of the universe. The color of the opal is different in all lights, always magical. To me, carrying this ring is carrying my own personal rainbow with me.

I surrounded myself by so much loving energy that no wonder.

At some point, I even forgot to be nervous.

…who delivered me a dreamy cotton gauze piece of a shawl like this, by Moonalia Design:

I’ll be wearing my new soft light creamy dreamy shawl like in the photo on the right, due to some snowy windy circumstances… But I’ll be dreaming of wearing it like in the photo in the middle :). Soon. ish.

Tomorrow is going to be so exciting… I’ve been invited to a press trip to Estonia, to the fashion show of one of my favorite designers in the whole wide world; Kristina Viirpalu. Last spring Kristina’s show was something out of this world, a great gatsbyesque fanfare of unique creations. So my whole body is positively tingling with anticipation…

The only thing ready for tomorrow morning  – which is more than in my usual repertoire – is that this silk embroidered Parisian dream will share this adventure with me.

In fact, every time we travel with this bag, it loses a few pearls and gets just a little bit more worn out and ragged around the edges.. And I love it more and more for every sign of our experiences shared.

I’m glad it isn’t shiny and new. Nor am I.

But what the heck. We’ve both got  character ♥.
